Sharon Amy Photography (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to information collected on www.sharonamyphotography.com and any related pages, galleries, booking forms, and communications that link to this policy (the “Site”).

1) Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Contact details such as name, email, phone, company, and message content
  • Booking information such as session type, date preferences, headcount, and location
  • Client assets such as photo reference ideas, brand guidelines, and release forms
  • Account info for client proofing galleries if you create an account
  • Payment details handled by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers)

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data such as pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, and time on page
  • Device and browser data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and screen size
  • Cookies and similar technologies for analytics and site functionality

Information from third parties

  • Scheduling, invoicing, or CRM tools that you authorize
  • Social or ad platforms when you interact with our content

4) Client Galleries and Images

  • Client galleries may be delivered through ShootProof. These services have their own privacy practices.
  • Galleries can be password protected when requested. You are responsible for sharing passwords with authorized viewers only.
  • We may use selected images for our portfolio, social media, or marketing with your permission or as permitted by contract or model release. For minors, we require parent or guardian consent.

5) Payments

Payments are processed by HoneyBook. We do not store full payment card details. The processor handles your card data according to its own security and privacy practices.

6) How We Share Information

We share information with:

  • Service providers that help operate the Site and business, such as hosting, gallery delivery, scheduling, email, CRM, and payment processing
  • Professional partners involved in your project with your knowledge, such as makeup artists or studios
  • Legal and compliance when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to enforce agreements
  • Business transfers if we sell or reorganize our business, where your information may be transferred as part of the transaction

We do not sell your personal information.

7) Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described, to provide services to you, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce agreements. Image archives may be retained longer for backup and client access if allowed by contract. You can request deletion of galleries subject to contractual and legal constraints.

  • Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link
  • Cookie controls are available through your browser settings

9) California Privacy Notice (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to:

  • Know the categories of personal information collected and the purposes
  • Access and delete certain personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (we do not sell personal information)
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information where applicable
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising rights

To make a request, email hello@sharonamyphotography.com. We may need to verify your request. You may authorize an agent to act on your behalf with written permission.

Categories collected: Identifiers (such as name, email), commercial information (such as bookings), internet activity (Site usage), geolocation at a general level, and professional info when provided. Sources include you, your devices, and service providers. Uses are described in Sections 2 and 3. Disclosures are to service providers in Section 6.

10) Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. Parents or guardians who believe we have collected information from a child should contact us to request deletion.

11) Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we believe the security of your information has been compromised, we will act in accordance with applicable laws.

12) International Data Transfers

If you are outside the United States and provide information to us, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

13) Do Not Track

Your browser may offer a Do Not Track signal. Our Site does not currently respond to DNT signals. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated by additional notice.
